Our company LeVinum has bought a whole wine barrel Corton Clos du Roi Grand Cru wine from the famous Burgundy wine auction - Hospices de Beaune.
Our Burgundian partner, who will manage the development process in the barrel for the next 1.5 years, is one of the most valuable Burgundian wine producers - Domaine Faiveley.
Only 9 barrels were sold at the auction! That means there are only 2,592 bottles of royal Corton field wine in the world from the 2020 Hospices de Beaune auction!
So you have the opportunity to get the wine of the most famous wine auction in the world, prepared by one of the most famous wine producers in Burgundy!
Burgundy wines expert, Master of Wine Jasper Morris has said for 2020 Clos du Roi wine: "The Clos du Roi deserves its reputation as a vineyard apart within the appellation of Grand Cru Corton. There is a noble structure to this wine based around fine-grained tannins and the perfect level of acidity, which supports a density of fruit picked at optimum ripeness, still predominantly with red fruit pinot character. Harmonious, fine and beautifully constructed for the long term."
